The swishy, sticky matter, the top floor the inner narrator the reason you could even understand what I write !!! yeah that’s right I am talking about our brains… well it was evident enough when you read the title but….
We all have this guy sitting up there telling us to wake up
do the routine, scroll through the feed , stalk the crush, click on the blog,
watch another episode and dream this dream. Something we want to do some that
we have to, we seldom question this impulse and follow it like a plant in sun.
Our brains have this wonderful capacity to amplify the
feeling, and also to diminish it just by the thought of it, ever felt you could
eat more when you were eating your favourite dish? Similarly see yourself eating
a dish you hate! The brain not only tells you what to do but also it listens to
you. For eg. Remember when you were little and you got hurt, one of the parent
would do all they could to take your mind off it! And suddenly a few minutes
later the pain would leave and you were back to playing on the field.
Your brain for the most part, guides your story, tells you
things you already know… on repeat! As if you are telling your story to someone
, but you know very well, there’s no one listening, and the person your telling
this is the one living it!
Anyways! My point is don’t let
the little guy make all the decisions , he over analyses everything and frankly
we were not designed for it. Evolution favoured the quick thinker, the action
taker. However, I am not advocating you become a daredevil!
Just stop the chatter and see in
clear light the brain will find what its looking for. The brain is the problem
solving machine it look forward to solving the complex mysteries life throws at
us. Probably this explains why we love the suspense so much, but tbh the life
is not scripted and there is no interval so, use the time you have solve the
problem you already have, ergo don’t go out there creating problems for
yourself! The real teacher is
always your own mind.
Eliminate the noise and see the
situation clearly, objectively, sometimes emotionally, otherwise rationally and
generally empathetically.
